See the Photos that have Changed the World!

There is still time to make it to the Durham Museum to catch a glimpse of the Capture the Moment Exhibit.  If you have not made it there yet, be sure to make time.  It is a truly amazing exhibit.  This exhibit features professional and amateur Pulitzer Prize winning photographs over the last several decades.  Some of the photos are truly inspiring capturing the image of human perseverance and victory against all odds.  Others on the other hand capture the cruelty, sadness, and violence that has become known as dark side of the human race.

Make the time to come to the Durham Museum to catch a glimpse of not only American History on film but of World History. Why not try to make it to the Durham during some of its featured photography events. 

Light & Composition Photography Class*

Saturdays, May 14 & June 4; 11AM & 1PM
Photography can be described as the art of capturing light. In this seminar, you will learn how to use light to your advantage and how time of day can affect outdoor photography. Also, get tips on composing your images for the most impact. Bring your camera and be ready to ask questions!

Mark Graeve studied photography and video at Metro Community College. He especially enjoys action and sports photography. Graeve is a lead instructor and salesperson at Rockbrook Camera and Video.

Special Guided Tours of Capture the Moment*
Led by Fr. Don Doll
Tuesday, May 17 at 6PM; Saturday, June 18 at 11AM

Join us for a special guided tour of Capture the Moment, led by Don Doll. A Jesuit priest and well-known photojournalist, Fr. Doll's work has been featured in National Geographic and a number of the “Day in the Life of” books.  In May 1997, Fr. Doll was awarded the prestigious Kodak Crystal Eagle Award for Impact in Photojournalism at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Limited to 25 people per tour.
