2011 Road to Omaha Run

.

A new route has been announced for the inaugural Road to Omaha® Run on Sunday, June 26, starting at 9 a.m. Central time, according to the event’s organizers. The new route (Click to See Map) will begin and end south of the Elmwood Park pavilion, 802 South 60th Street, with the 5K Race course going through Elmwood and Memorial Parks. The road run is being held as part of the 2011 NCAA® Men’s College World Series® (CWS) taking place at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, June 18 – 28/29.

“The decision to move the route away from the riverfront area to Elmwood Park was done as a precautionary measure,” according to Damani Leech, NCAA, director for baseball and football.

The 5K Race course will start south of the park pavilion and will travel through the beautiful Elmwood Park, across the pedestrian bridge at Dodge Street and enter Memorial Park. The course will then loop through Memorial Park and return to Elmwood Park via the pedestrian bridge to the finish near the Elmwood Park pavilion. Updated Route Map
