Health and Wellness Expo: A Way to Better Living

Some of the featured speakers are Ed Servais, Creighton University Head Baseball Coach; Laura Binetti, Canadian, European, & World Bobybuilding Champion, and Dr. Garland Landrith from Kansas City, Quantum Field Psychologist and Healer.  Dr. Landrith will be speaking both days at 12 noon on “Learn How to Rewire Your Brian to Get High on Life & Supercharge Positive Thinking by Tapping on Body Energy Points.  He’ll be doing a live demonstration.  Also speaking on Sunday at 10:10 am is Elmar Bolowich, new Head Soccer Coach for Creighton University.  See attached schedule for a complete listing of featured speakers.

The Omaha Health Expo is the largest health fair pertaining to wellness, fitness, the mind, body, and spirit in the Midwest and one of the largest in the nation!  Last year there were over 275 exhibitors and over 50 seminars. Over 10,000 attendees enjoyed the expo!  This year looks to be even bigger and continue to grow!

Find out new ways to attain soundness of mind and body, learn how to live longer, better, and happier, check out new ideas to improve your lifestyle and sense of well being.  Learn the benefits of being healthy, being pain free or reducing your pain levels.  Find out what’s new in alternative medicine, nutrition, organic foods, being GREEN and so much more!

Bob Mancuso, Jr., Director of the Omaha Health Expo, said, “The Omaha Health Expo is a unique community event that represents a multi-dimensional, complimentary view of health and wellness.  The expo will have seminars on various topics both days.  As an interactive event, each attendee will have the opportunity to speak with vendors – experts in their fields at the Omaha Civic Auditorium Mancuso Convention Center and Exhibition Hall - Free both days!”

“This is really an exciting opportunity for the Omaha area to host this health and wellness event,” said Michael Braunstein, from Heartland Healing.

The Expo will also feature the Omaha Health Expo Walk and Bike Ride events in the mornings on April 30-May 1, as the kick off events for the springtime running, walking, andbiking season.  The walk event – the Omaha Walk MS -  is on the Saturday, April 30 and proceeds go to the MS Society.  Contact the MS Society for more details!  The Omaha Health Expo Bike Ride is on Sunday, May 1.  Both events start and finish at the Omaha Civic Auditorium.  The bike ride event is open to clubs (companies can form their own clubs) and individuals.  There is also a high school club challenge!  There are awards for the club levels based on participation (largest number of bike riders).  Bike riders can still sign up.  Proceeds from the bike ride will go to Eastern Nebraska Trails Network (ENTN) and go toward trail development in eastern Nebraska and greater Omaha.

Mancuso said the Omaha Health Expo is about education.  There have been many studies that relate physical fitness, positive attitude, and overall health to a positive impact on the bottom line.  Associates can have lower levels of stress and improve their well-being and self-esteem.  For the company, that can equate to enhanced productivity and lower health care costs.

The Omaha Health Expo Sponsors and Partners are: The Greater Omaha Sports Committee, Heartland Healing, The Omaha Newspapers, The Reader Magazine, KGOR - 99.9 FM, KFAB – 1110 AM, Sports Plus Magazine, Expedoodle, Metro Magazine, Omaha Family Magazine, Taste of Omaha.  Gold Sponsors are: Family Spectrum Magazine, No Name Nutrition Markets, Natural Home Foods, The Fall Home & Garden Expo.  Silver Sponsors: The Tea Smith, Miller Brands of Omaha, Papio-Missouri River NRD, The Sports Authority, and Walgreens.  Bronze Sponsors are Mid Plains Podiatry, PC, Omaha Healing Arts Center.  Other Sponsors are: Live Well Omaha, Activate Omaha, Our Healthy Omaha, Eastern Nebraska Trails Network (ENTN), National MS Society – Nebraska Chapter, Eastern Nebraska Office of Aging (ENOA), Wellness Council of the Midlands, AARP – Nebraska, Craft Lifestyle Management, Heartland Health Therapy, Omaha By Design, The Next Millennium, Universal College of Healing Arts, and The Sleep Inn & Suites.
