OMAHA – In response to member feedback during its successful first year, the PinPoint Program will undergo changes at the start of 2012 that will transform the program exclusively into a source of rewards and discounts for members.
The PinPoint Card will no longer function as a payment card.
“Our members love our rewards and discounts, and they love the vast choice of participating merchants who reward them when they use the PinPoint Card,” said Aaron Barnes, President and CEO of PinPoint Card. “They told us they like the program best when they use PinPoint to accumulate rewards in conjunction with their existing payment cards, so it made sense to listen to them and make this adjustment.”
Approximately 50 merchants currently participate in the PinPoint Program.
Unlike most discount and rewards programs, membership as a PinPoint cardholder will continue to be absolutely free. Existing members can continue using their PinPoint Cards to make payments and accumulate reward points through the end of the year, after which they will receive new cards without having to re-enroll.
New enrollees will no longer have to provide bank account information, and such information for existing cardholders will be deleted from the PinPoint system at the end of 2011.
In addition to reward points with every purchahse, PinPoint members under the new system earn a variety of different rewards, including Welcome Rewards when they sign up (coupons from all participating merchants), Instant Rewards when the visit their favorite stores, Birthday, Anniversary and Holiday Rewards and much more.
Those wishing to sign up as members in the PinPoint Program can do so at www.pinpointcard.com.
